The Foundation for Achieving Seamless Territory is an architectural think-tank that operates at the intersection of architecture, urban planning, public art, and human rights, with a focus on design activism. FAST's goal is to expose systemic violence and improve the quality of the built environment and people's livelihoods.
Our projects span across various disciplines and scales and include the award-winning book Atlas of the Conflict: Israel-Palestine (010, 2011), Village. One Land Two Systems and Platform Paradise, and the long-term collaborative research initiative BLUE: Architecture of UN Peacekeeping Missions and Design for Legacy, which shed light on the impact of UN peace missions on cities and communities.
In 2021, FAST won the Silver Lion at the Venice Architecture Biennale for their collaborative work: Border Ecologies and the Gaza Strip. Watermelon, Sardines, Crabs, Sand, and Sediment.
