The essay is part of a long-term research project named Drones and Honeycombs that is being developed with The New Institute in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Drones and Honeycombs analyses the architecture and landscape of war and of international relations. It is an experimental project that challenges the role of the architect and of architectural practice to provide better understanding of space and to promote the design of civic spaces and civic values in time of war and of extreme change.
It includes public conferences, exhibitions and a series of closed experimental workshops with the active actors in war and peace.
The first exhibition at The New Institute will take place in April 2014.
